'Being Her', A Short Film About Love

On Valentines Day of 2020, I spent my day being kind to myself as a single woman. This has been the case for a few years, mostly because my personal brand is that of a single girl, and secondly because I don't celebrate the day with romantic partners. Instead, I spent Valentine's Day being nice to myself.

A beloved treat for Valengtine's Day was that a film I had worked on scripting in 2017 finally debuted! Three years ago, Sisanda Mgedezi reached out to me to work on a short film script, originally titled I AM ________. Since then, the film has changed titled, to be presented to the world as Being Her and now this work of love is finally out! The power of collaboration was that there was no need for each of us to waste time on strategizing our respect roles, instead we all gave where we were best suited. For me, this was through my contributions to the script.
